Hargreaves is a food manufacturer based in Worsley, Manchester, supplying further processed Meat products to the UK Fast Food sector, both Manufacturing & Retail. The company was established by founder & Chairman, Harry Hargreaves who has a lifetime's experience in the meat industry. Most of what the company produces today goes into meals of various kinds as ingredients. All our directors are experienced 'hands-on' people and have a 'can-do attitude'.

1)COMPANY HISTORY The company was originally established in 1966 as a wholesale meat business. The 'further processing' side evolved as a result of customer demand for high quality, added value products and today, forms the major part of the business. Hargreaves produces over 30 different types of plain & flavoured, cooked meat ingredient products in various sizes & shapes. Production Director is Tony Hargreaves. Our products are sold across all sectors, including Foodservice, Manufacturing and Retail. 2)CAPABILITIES & FACTORY * BRC Grade A accreditation. * Awarded GOLD by Salford Environmental Dept;. * Maximum capacity 60 tonnes over 2 shifts. (Currently at 45% utilization). * 23 employees * Capable of producing Chilled or Frozen, block or IQF in various shapes, sizes, flavoured & plain. * On-going capital investment has ensured a modern production facility. * Flexible & rapid response to all your needs. We welcome customer briefs for bespoke recipes based on volume orders.

3) RAW MATERIAL SOURCING
All raw material is sourced from quality, EC approved suppliers to our own, precise specification.

4) PRODUCTS
All our products are pre-cooked and available for instant use. Main applications include Pizzas, Salads, Sandwiches, Ready Meals, Baked Potato Fillings, Pastas, Quiche, Pies, Omelettes, Soups and Sauces. They can be supplied, diced, sliced or shredded to individual customer requirements, chilled or frozen. Our state of the art nitrogen freezing tunnel allows us to supply free-flowing, IQF products for ease of use, portion control and wastage-avoidance. We also offer a large range of Halal products. Products are produced to order to ensure maximum freshness & shelf life.

5) QUALITY ASSURANCE Our on-site technical team assures a high standard of quality control. Production is done a temperature controlled environment and monitored throughout the entire production process. Every product is produced to an exact specification. HACCP and 100% traceability systems are in place, from farm to factory to customer. Customer audits are welcomed. 6) NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT We welcome any brief. Recipes can be developed to your bespoke brief or choose from our extensive range. You can rely on our vast experience to ensure your individual specifications are met and adhered to at all times. 7) SERVICE Hargreaves prides itself on it's speed of response & flexibility. We can pack in a number of different sized inner bags & outers. We will work with any brand or label and deliver on a regular basis. We strive to achieve a high rate of 'in full, on time' delivery. Orders can be accepted by telephone, fax or e-mail. We provide NPD support, to all of our major customers. Products are delivered either via our own transport or contracted hauliers. Order Day 1 for delivery Day 4. Our overriding principle is one of 'profitable business partnership' in which we both grow together.
